Q. Is it difficult to install?
A. No, Alloc’s mechanical locking system features built-in alignment accuracy, making it nearly impossible to install incorrectly. Plus, no glue or special tools are required for installation. Most do-it-yourselfers find Alloc very easy to install, but your dealer is the best source of specific information.
Q. How long do I have to wait to walk on Alloc after installation?
A. There is no wait. Because there’s no glue to dry, consumers can walk on Alloc, or move furniture back on the floor, immediately after installation.
Q. What rooms are most appropriate for Alloc flooring?
A. Alloc is the perfect durable surface for kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, family rooms and bathrooms. Alloc flooring is not recommended for rooms with floor drains or similar wet areas.
Q. Is it durable?

Q. Will a dog scratch the floor?
A. A dog should not scratch the floor, but make sure the dog has his nails clipped regularly
Q. Is it easy to care for?
A. Alloc flooring is stain- and dent-resistant, and easy to maintain. For regular cleaning, mist Free & CleanTM, Alloc’s ready-to-use laminate cleaner on a dry mop or cloth and wipe. Free & Clean is anti-static and contains anti-microbial properties that help kill E-coli, Staph and Strep germs.
Q. What should I do if I spill water or liquids on my flooring?
A. Dry the affected area as soon as possible, using a clean, dry mop or rags. Place a fan over this area to help in the drying process.
Q. Is underlayment foam available for Alloc City Scapes Flooring?
A. Alloc suggests two different underlayments for use with Alloc flooring products - specifications 1/16"@ 25% compressions>5.7PSI, 1/8"@ 25% compression>7.12"PSI.
Q: What is the difference between an HPL and a DPL Laminate?
A. HPL means High Pressure Laminate which has the following attributes: - Addition of Phenol impregnated kraft paper. - 1300lb/sq inch pressure, 300 degrees F - Less edge chipping, better moisture resistance, higher impact resistance
DPL means Direct Pressure Laminate which has the following attributes: - 300 lb/sq inch pressure, 250 degrees F - Lower manufacturing costs, higher speed of production - More edge chipping, less moisture resistance and low impact resistance
